It has multi-rate support, with 112/56Gbps PAM4 signaling, and also 56/28/10Gbps NRZ for backward compatibility.It has long been thought to be the way to get to. PAM4 stands for pulse-amplitude modulation, a four-level signaling technique designed to replace the non-return to zero (NRZ) binary modulation.
